Border Prints with Sandy Reynolds (monthly, through Aug. 4)
September 9, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
First Saturday of the month, 10:00 am–1:00 pm | $30 per session | Intermediate to advanced | Registration required
For the intermediate to advanced quilter who wants to learn the secret of creating lovely designs by carefully cutting border print fabrics, as well as how to make design elements come together perfectly at intersections and on borders. We will also learn how to make more intricate blocks with the dreaded “Y” seams (which aren’t that bad once you’ve learned a few tricks).
This will not be a “quilt in a weekend” class but rather a class that will allow you to take the next step in honing your quilting skills. There will be some applique in the quilt. A kit will be available to purchase at the shop that will provide you with all the fabrics you’ll need to make the complete top.
This will be a 12-month class, doing one block a month plus. The first class will meet on September 9 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Following that, all classes will be held on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
$25.00 per class to the instructor – this will be paid in three month segments, so at the first class the fee will be $75 which will cover Sept./Oct./Nov., etc. Other arrangements can be made if necessary.
$5.00 per class to the shop. (Note: A deposit of $30 will be paid to the shop at the time of registration, which will cover the first six months of the shop fee.)
This class is full.
