Strip Sampler Quilt with Sandy Reynolds (Thursdays)
September 15, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Who: Sandy Reynolds, quilter extraordinaire, will be sharing all of her secrets for making a beautiful quilt.
What: Each month we will make stop for your quilt, and with each row you will learn a new technique. We will learn to work with color, cut accurately, machine piece, hand piece, paper piece, appliqué (either by hand or machine, your choice) and who knows what else. And when you’re finished with all the rows and pieced them together with the sashing and borders you will have the option of taking an additional class for either machine or hand quilting to finish your quilt. Fabric kits for the class are offered in four color ways and the kit contains enough fabric to make all of the rows and the flying geese border. How you choose to place the colors in your quilt will be entirely up to you. When you have completed the rows, you will pick a fabric for the sashing and outside border so you end up with a quilt that is uniquely yours.
When: The class will meet monthly on Thursday mornings, 10:00 – 1:00. The first two classes will be on September 15, and October 13. Beginning in November the class will meet on the first Thursday of the month.
Cost: There is a $60 deposit to register and the class costs $25 per class, paid in 3 month increments, with the first payment due at the first class on September 15th. The price of fabric kit will vary based on your selection. The pattern for each row will cost $6.00 which is due each month in class when the pattern is handed out.
Please come by the shop to pay your deposit of $60 and choose your color way. There are limited numbers of each color way and it will be first come first served! There are also a limited number of spaces in the class and they are filling fast!
