Shirt No.1 Class: Beginner sewing level

Shirt No. 1 is a simple top with short sleeves. This shirt is easy to wear and makes a great layering piece.The neck is finished with bias tape facing.
Recommended fabric:
Light weight cotton lawn or voile, linen, rayon or natural fiber blend woven fabric (no jersey or knits). If you have not sewn a garment in the past, please choose fabric with right and wrong side.
REQUIREMENTS:
Beginner. You should know your way around your sewing machine. Your machine should be ready to go for class.
Instructor will supply:
– Tracing paper for pattern
SUPPLIES:
– Shirt No.1 pattern (Can be purchased at the shop)
– Ruler
– Pencil for tracing pattern
– Fabric for shirt
– Dress weights. Instructor will have some but not enough for all students.
– Thread to match fabric
– Sewing machine. You can also rent one from the Shop.
– Rotary cutter
– Cutting mat
– Ruler
– Seam Ripper
– Disappearing ink pen
– General sewing supplies
– Optional notion: 3/4″ (18mm) bias tape maker
Due to Covid, we won’t be able to share supplies as we would normally. Please remember to bring whatever you might need to complete the project.
