Machine Quilting with Allison Wilbur

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until March 26, 2016
This class is designed to take you from beginner to confidently quilting complex designs on your home sewing machine (or long arm). Each week will focus on one topic with plenty of time for in class practice. You will bring your own home sewing machine so you can become completely familiar with its features. Topics covered include materials (thread, needles and batting), machine set up, basting, tension, marking, compiling a library of designs, straight line quilting, basic meandering, feathers, continuous curves, micro fill, machine trapunto, couching, bobbin work and machine sashiko, selecting designs and much more. If you own a mid or long arm and want to expand your design range, this is also an excellent class for you! (Maximum 7 students)
