Learn Foundation Paper Piecing with “No More Tears” Method
April 6 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
April 6, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm | Registration required | $65
Are you curious about paper piecing or have you tried paper piecing, but have a love/hate relationship? Do you love the accuracy you achieve, but hate the process of getting there? Well, this class will change that to a LOVE relationship.
This workshop will be led by David Sirota, the creator of the “No More Tears”© method of paper piecing who is heading to our shop from the great state of New Hampshire. We’ll be using the versatile Storm at Sea pattern to show you how you can take this method and apply it to all of your paper piecing projects. You will find David’s method easier to understand and takes about half the time than the way paper piecing has been done traditionally.
Although we won’t be finishing the entire project in class, you’ll complete at least one full block, and go home with the tools and skills you’ll need to finish the quilt at home—in half the time you’d expect from traditional paper piecing.
Don’t believe it? You’ll just have to come and see for yourself!
In this one-day workshop you will learn:
–The basics of paper piecing using the “No More Tears”© method
–How to create the Storm at Sea quilt
–Precise block and quilt top construction
You can download a complete list of items you’ll need to bring to the workshop and pre-class preparation. You can also read more about David’s start into quilting and why he developed the “No More Tears”© method.
Seriously, if you love or always wanted to try paper piecing, this is one workshop you don’t want to miss.
