Lace Knitting for Beginners with Greta
March 23, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until April 6, 2016
Come and learn how to produce beautiful lace patterns in our Lace Knitting for Beginners class. In this class students will learn the basics of knitting lace patterns including increases and decreases, reading a pattern, reading a chart, and the importance of blocking.
We will be using the Gothic Lace Cowl pattern by Tin Can Knits, which is available for free through their website or on Ravelry. Knitters in this class have the option of making a short buttoned cowl, a long buttoned cowl, or a scarf. Short (long) cowl measures approximately 10 inches wide by 22 (44) inches long before blocking. Scarf measures approximately 8 inches wide by 60 inches long.
