Gift Making Quilting Classes with Deb
October 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until October 23, 2021
Saturdays, October 9, 16, and 23, 1:00 to 3:00 pm | $25 per class | Beginner level
In a series of three classes, you can pick and choose from a variety of gifts to sew for your friends and family, or even yourself, or choose one of the larger projects below and focus on one project, such as the Yellow Brick Road lap quilt. This class is perfect for beginners to sharpen their skills and give them confidence.
Below is a list of items that you can pick and choose from in these classes. You can choose from one or a variety of gifts.
Gift bags: Designed for beginners who often feel they don’t quite have the skills to pull off small functional gifts these classes will give you plenty of time to create reversible gift bags of many sizes. I use them for all types of gifts. You can make several in one class.
Quilted pillow: You might want to sew an easy quilted pillow; there are never enough pillows on my couches and chairs. Those made from seasonal fabric make a lovely accent in any room. Made from four square and flying geese patterns they are quick and easy, especially if made without a zipper! You can make a pillow in two classes. Does not include the pillow form.
Infinity scarf: Or maybe a more personalized gift like a simple infinity scarf where the fabric design is what shines. They are as easy as they are beautiful. You can make one or two in one session.
Needle holder and pincushion: These are perfect for you to tuck in the stocking of any sewist, including your own! You can make these in one class.
Christmas stockings: Create a quilted Christmas stocking with a favorite theme for a favorite person. You can make a stocking in two classes. Does not include time for embroidery, if you’d like to add that.
Lap quilt or table runner: Lastly there is a very basic beginner lap quilt pattern called Yellow Brick Road that you could make over the course of three classes. You can make the lap quilt or table runner in three classes.
Deb Allard will have patterns and directions available for her designs and others that can be downloaded free. Yellow Brick Road needs to be purchased.
