Doll-making class (Two-day workshop)
January 14 @ 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
One event on January 15, 2022 at 9:30 am
January 14 and 15, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm | $550, includes all materials | Registration required
Come and spend two full days with like-minded, creative people, and bring a doll alive. Daria of Petit Gosset will guide you in the traditional art of doll-making and together we will craft a lively little doll (16” tall) from soft cotton and sweet wool. This doll has the proportions of a 3-year-old with shapely legs and arms, needle-felted face, ears, sculpted belly and bum, embroidered eyes, and hair made with silky-soft mohair, specially made for doll-making in Holland.
You will go home with a lovely newborn in your hands and a full PDF file of step-by-step photo instructions plus the pattern pieces, so you can make more dolls once you get home.
All materials and tools will be supplied.
The body will be pre-sewn by expert doll maker Daria in advance. You would need to choose the skin and hair color of your doll.
Patterns for basic garments are included in the workshop’s materials, and there will be an opportunity to buy some clothes for an extra charge to dress your newly-created doll.
The workshop will run for two days, January 14 and January 15, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch.
The cost is $550 of which $100 is a non-refundable deposit to be paid to secure your spot at the workshop. You can use the link below to register.
