Call us crazy but we’ve pulled out the Christmas goodies! One of the greatest joys of being creative is sharing what you make with your loved ones, whether they be family or friends. If you are looking for a great summer project that will turn into a fabulous Christmas present, come by the shop, we have lots of recommendations and ideas.
We just got in some beautiful Stof Christmas fabrics from Denmark, French General Fete de Noel, fabulous Santa applique patterns, some great books like Handmade Scandanavian Christmas and Celebrate Christmas from Patchwork Place, new wool Christmas ornament kits and so much more.
Let’s just say we will be seeing lots of Mothers in here in the coming weeks and months! Not to spoil the surprise, but there have been lots of gift certificates going out the door in the last few days. What a compliment to the shop when customers say, “I can’t imagine a better gift for my Mom.” Our motto is, “Find joy and comfort in your handiwork and strength and friendship in those around you,” and the best days are when the shop is full of new and old friends, laughter and creativity.
One of the fabric collections I am really loving in the shop right now are the group from Diamond Textiles. No matter what else is happening, I always end up visiting this collection and dreaming about what these beauties could become. Their richness of texture and uniqueness draw me in every time. Soon the click clack of needles and the hum of the sewing machines will add to our daily medley!
